Councils are challenged to increase the amount of waste they recycle and to continue to reduce the amount going to landfill, helping to protect our environment for the future.
Woking Borough Council wanted to create awareness and increase participation in their co-mingled recycling collection service provided at flats and multiple-occupancy dwellings, where bulk recycling bins are used. A bespoke recycling bag was provided to residents living at flats to help and encourage them to separate recyclables in the home, and then carry and tip these recyclables into the bulk recycling bins ready for collection.
