Aberdeen City Council were looking for a giveaway item to help promote recycling and reusing resources. They decided on a reusable shopping pouch bag made from recycled plastic bottles as the perfect tool to combine both messages.
The pouch bags are filled with recycling information and given away at community events and roadshows, where they have proved to be very popular. They are also used as goody bags when working with local schools. They are filled with a variety of promotional items such as stationary and fridge magnets and the children are always very excited to get their hands on one!
A shopping pouch bag made from rPET allowed Aberdeen Council to give people a practical item with a positive message. It also allowed them to promote their website so that people can go online to check for recycling information.
