The Katie Piper Foundation recently hosted "My Beautiful Ball” - a fundraising event to raise awareness and money to help make life easier for people living with burns and scars. Held at the Landmark Hotel in London, it was a glitzy event attended by corporate supporters, private donors of the charity, friends and celebrities.
Smartbags were proud to support this incredible cause and the occasion by donating beautiful Printed Tote Bags which were used as goody bags and given to each of the guests at the end of the evening.
About the Katie Piper Foundation
Founded in 2009 by acid attack survivor Katie Piper, The Katie Piper Foundation aims to ensure that the intensive burns rehabilitation and scar management that Katie was lucky enough to benefit from in France, becomes available to healthcare professionals and burns survivors here in the UK.
The Foundation is already furthering the physical, psychological and social rehabilitation of burns survivors by means of workshops that focus on well-being and social activities. It also helps by building individual self-esteem and confidence through introductions to specialists in medical tattooing, laser treatment and hair replacement systems, and by establishing a peer support network for burns survivors.
